Now that you are back from Swaziland, we hope you will stay connected with Heart for Africa. During your trip, we talked about several ways that you can continue to support Heart for Africa and our work in Swaziland. Below you will find more information about each of these programs.
Celebrate HOPE
Through a "Celebrate HOPE" event, you can raise not only money to support Heart for Africa's work, but you can create great awareness in your community. In 2010, a team of volunteers in Cape Girardeau, Missouri hosted a "Celebrate HOPE" event in their community. They had over 500 people in attendance and raised over $100,000 at the event.
What does a "Celebrate HOPE" event look like?
- A semi-formal event that includes either dinner or appetizers.
- Tickets are sold for $25 to $50 per person
- Raffle tickets are sold prior to the event and a silent auction is available at the event
- The evening includes live music and special guest speakers

Walk 4 Water
Every day in Africa women, men, and children walk miles for water. Once they have reached the site of water, they are then challenged to carry the water in buckets back to their homestead. Many may walk three or more miles each day to get water, a task that we accomplish by simply turning on a tap in our home.
By hosting a "Walk 4 Water" event in your community, you can raise money for Heart for Africa and raise awareness for the need for fresh drinking water throughout Africa. Your "Walk 4 Water" event may be a simple 5K, or a walk that includes carrying water during the walk. Whatever you choose, we have two volunteers that are ready to help you get started on setting the event in your area. Golf Marathon
A golf marathon is a great way to raise funds for Heart for Africa and to have fun playing golf while you are at it. Whether you are participating in the annual Heart for Africa 100 Hole Golf Marathon hosted in Alpharetta, GA or hosting your own event in your community, we know that you will have great success in fundraising and raising awareness.
